What is an LED video wall?
An LED video wall is a display built from modular LED panels (cabinets) tiled together into a single image. Unlike consumer TVs, LED video walls scale to any size, run brighter for direct-sun installs, are serviceable panel by panel, and ship in fixed pixel pitches optimized for viewing distance. We are an authorized DVS LED dealer for indoor and outdoor builds.
What is pixel pitch and which do I need?
Pixel pitch is the distance between adjacent LED pixels, measured in millimeters. Smaller pitch means a sharper image at close viewing. A rule of thumb: viewing distance in feet should be about the pixel pitch in millimeters times 3. A 3.9 mm wall reads clean from about 12 feet away. We spec the pitch against your room during the design phase.
Can LED video walls go outdoors?
Yes. The DVS DioPlex HD-3 we installed at an Austin outdoor sportsbar is IP67 weather rated with built-in water drainage. It handles direct sun, year-round Texas rain, cold, and heat. Outdoor cabinets typically run higher brightness than indoor variants so the image stays readable in direct sunlight.
How long does an LED video wall install take?
Hardware lead time is usually 3 to 6 weeks. On-site install for a 12-panel wall like the Austin sportsbar is typically 2 to 4 days including commissioning. The panels lag-bolt directly to a flat wall and connect internally for power and data, so there are no exposed cable runs.
Are LED video walls serviceable if a panel fails?
Yes. The DVS DioPlex HD-3 is front and rear serviceable. LED modules push onto the frame and snap secure via magnets, so a tech can swap a module without removing the cabinet from the wall. A bad module is typically a 5-minute swap, not a 4-hour cabinet pull.
Do you work with AV integrators on video wall projects?
Yes. AV integrators are a core customer. We design the wall against your project spec, quote DVS cabinets at integrator pricing, ship to site labeled and ready, and coordinate with your install team during commissioning. We can also handle the install ourselves if your scope does not include LED.
What size and shape can I build?
Almost anything rectangular. Each DioPlex HD-3 cabinet is 500 by 1000 mm. The Austin sportsbar build is 12 panels (2 tall by 6 wide). We have specced walls from a single column up to multi-cabinet stadium displays. For non-rectangular or sculptural builds, talk to us about custom integration.
Can the video wall integrate with my audio and lighting?
Yes. The video wall is a network appliance like everything else we install. We can integrate it into the FBS Control System so source switching, scene programming, and content scheduling all run from the same surface as your audio and lighting.
What does an LED video wall cost?
We do not list pricing online because cost varies with cabinet count, pixel pitch, indoor vs outdoor, and integration complexity. The Austin sportsbar 12-panel build and a custom 13,000-pixel ceiling installation are very different jobs. Tell us the project, we will get you a quote the same business day.
Can you do custom LED builds beyond catalog?
Yes. We engineered a 13,000-pixel LED ceiling for a 6th Street theme bar with pixel-mapped wall art that interacts with the ceiling. If your project needs something that off-the-shelf cannot deliver, we will design it.
What areas do you serve?
Fullblast Sound is based in San Antonio, Texas. Our install footprint covers San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Dallas, the Texas Hill Country, and nationwide. Case studies in Texas, Kansas City, and New Orleans. AV integrators worked with in multiple states.
Do you carry indoor LED options too?
Yes. DVS offers indoor LED panels from ViuPlex 0.7 mm COB ultra-fine-pitch micro-LED (the close-viewing flagship) up through their fixed-install indoor catalog: nightclub wraparounds, restaurant feature walls, lobby displays, brand activations, sanctuary IMAG, conference rooms. We spec the right pitch against your viewing distance during design.
