An Austin outdoor sportsbar needed a video wall that worked in direct sun, took weather year-round, and could scale across the patio wall as the venue grew. We installed the DVS DioPlex HD-3, a 3.9 mm pixel pitch fixed outdoor LED video cabinet. The build is 12 panels (2 tall by 6 wide), IP67 weather rated, with built-in water drainage software and direct PCB module connections (modules click into the frame with magnets). All cabling and power lives inside the frame so nothing is visible from the back or sides.
The brief
The operator wanted a single video wall solution that handled direct sun glare, year-round Austin weather, and easy serviceability if a panel ever needed swapping. Pixel pitch had to fit the typical viewing distance from the patio seating (around 15 feet). We specced the 3.9 mm DioPlex HD-3 for the right balance of resolution and outdoor brightness. Each cabinet weighs about 35 pounds. The install built out from a single anchor cabinet using direct lag bolts into the patio wall.

The result
A bright, high-contrast outdoor video wall that handles Austin weather day in and day out. The 12-panel configuration covers the patio audience with the right pixel pitch for the viewing distance. Front-serviceable means future maintenance is a 5-minute swap, not a 4-hour cabinet pull.

Fullblast Sound (on the DVS DioPlex outdoor video wall install)
We just recently installed a video wall at a customer's venue. The video wall is made by DVS LED and Fullblast Sound is your source for DVS LED video walls. We are an authorized dealer for them. This video wall is a DioPlex HD 3. It is a 3.9 millimeter fixed outdoor LED video cabinet. Each of these cabinets is 19 by 39 inches, which is 500 by 1000 millimeters. The key feature of this video wall is it has heat sink modules in the frame, and it keeps the heat cool. It has front and rear serviceability, which means you could install it on any flat surface simply by placing lag bolts or any other type of fasteners through some holes, and that will secure the cabinet to a solid surface. It is very easy to build out from there. It has a really high output. You could place this outside where there is a lot of sun and it has great contrast. It is IP67 rated with water drainage software built in. All of the power and data connections are inside the cabinet itself, so you are not going to see any wires or unsightly pieces coming out of the side or the back. It has direct PCB module connections, which means that all you have to do is push the LED modules onto the frame and it will be secure by magnets and it will make the direct connection. You do not have to do anything crazy with mounting. Each panel is super lightweight, only about 35 pounds. This is a great video wall that is very economical and will work great outdoors. It is a no brainer for those of you looking for an outdoor solution.
