Flagship EDM nightclub ยท MFLA + Kraken + ZV28
A flagship Austin EDM venue. One of the most insane sound systems in the country per BC. MFLA line array elements flown per side, sitting above a Kraken quad 21 with two ZV28 extended-depth dual 18s stacked on top per side. AT312 triple-12 coaxials flown facing the DJ booth (and another pair on the booth sides for the DJ). SSP118 single 18s sitting on the booth floor with the AT312s on top of them (DJ monitor low end). Another pair of SSP118s flown at the back of the room covering the back bar. DiaMons throughout the VIP zones. All on the FBS control network.
The brief
The owner wanted the most uncompromising EDM venue in Texas. Headliner DJs, sustained dance-floor SPL, and a system that did not retune between weeknight programming and Saturday peak. BC worked directly with the operator on the system design. The build philosophy: scalable production-grade subs, MFLA line array projection above for room coverage, point-source AT312 fills covering the DJ and the mid-room transition, and a control system that handled the room transitions.

The result
BC describes this room as "the most insane sound system in Austin." The MFLA line array carries vocal intelligibility to the back wall, the Kraken + ZV28 stacks drive a dance floor that hits in the chest without overpowering, and the AT312 + SSP118 booth configuration gives the DJ headliner-level coverage from every direction.

Fullblast Sound (on the MFLA + Kraken + ZV28 system)
Kingdom has the most insane sound system in Austin. I was really lucky to be able to work with David Lee on that system. Right above me right here is the BASSBOSS MFLA. This is the large format line array system from BASSBOSS. These are super clear, precise, and extremely loud. And when I say loud, it is loud in a good way. It is super smooth. It is not fatiguing on your ears. It is beautiful. These cabinets are like laser beams. They get right there where they need to go and then give you plenty of power for it. The MFLAs are so clear and precise. It is like having a studio monitor 100 feet away. You can hear every vocal nuance. You can hear all of your highs, your lows. Everything is hitting your ear at the right time. No distortion at all whatsoever. You can get super high volume levels out of it, and it will sound as good as it does in a quiet atmosphere playing something really low. Prepare yourself for the Kraken. This is it. Quad 21s. I am standing right next to it, I am 5'10", and it makes me look like a little kid. Four 21 inch drivers, facing up, sideways, and down, with huge ports. This Kraken subwoofer is immensely powerful, and it will get super high amounts of bass. The bass that comes out of here is perfect bass. It is real punchy, and it is real low. It is gonna feel like you are swimming in bass. On top of the Kraken we have two ZV28s per side. People ask me, do I have to mess with settings to make the bass coming out of the ZV28 complement the Kraken without canceling it out? The answer is no. All the BASSBOSS subs are tuned and ready. If you want to extend the low frequency even more with the ZV28, just reach around the back, grab an XLR, plug it in, plug it in, plug it in, and you will be done.
